What is
SHK PPR-C?
Hot / Cold Water
Potable Water
Chilled Water
Solar Heaters
RO Plants
SHK PPR-C pipes from Shreeharikrishna Group replace GI, MS and CPVC pipework for workshops and utility networks. Triple-layer construction — UV-stabilised outer layer, reinforced middle core and anti-microbial inner bore — delivers leak-proof socket-fusion joints, zero internal scaling and very low thermal conductivity (0.23 W/mK). Manufactured per IS 15801:2008 with ISO 9001 certification, WRAS-approved material and in-house R&D testing. ITT specifies the right PN rating, supports layout planning and commissions the network safely.
Key benefits of PPR-C
Eight engineering advantages that make SHK PPR-C a cost-effective alternative to metal and CPVC pipework — from the SHK product catalogue.
Application-led PPR design
Two dedicated SHK product lines — Pneumato for compressed air and Aqua for hot/cold water. Select a product line to see recommended pipe grade and key design points.
SHK Pneumato — compressed air
Flame-retardant, triple-layer PPR-C designed for compressed air distribution. UL 94 rated outer layer with glass-fibre reinforced middle core. Smooth anti-microbial bore with low friction factor helps maintain stable pressure to pneumatic tools, packaging lines and CNC machine utilities.
- Compressed air for workshops and industrial plants
- UL 94 flame-retardant outer layer for added safety
- PN16 (SDR 7.4) typical for industrial air lines
- Size using SHK CFM vs pipe diameter selection chart
- Support every 60–90 cm with expansion allowance
SHK Aqua — water supply
Triple-layer PPR-C for hot and cold potable water, chilled water, cooling towers, solar water heaters and RO plants. Anti-microbial inner layer prevents bacteria and algae growth; UV-stabilised outer layer extends outdoor service life.
- Hot/cold water supply (−8°C to 95°C operating range)
- Chilled water, cooling towers & condenser lines
- Solar water heater and RO drinking water plants
- IS 15801 approved — ISI marked product
- Negligible heat loss with 0.23 W/mK conductivity
PPR vs MS & CPVC piping
Technical and commercial comparison from the SHK catalogue — see why PPR-C wins on lifecycle cost, air quality and installation speed.
50-year lifecycle
Five to ten times the service life of MS pipe with negligible maintenance for 15–20 years — dramatically lower total cost of ownership.
Leak-proof fusion
Socket-fusion joints create a homogeneous bond — no threaded leakage points common in GI/MS networks or solvent joints in CPVC.
Cleaner delivery
Non-corrosive, non-scaling bore means cleaner air and water without rust particles reaching equipment downstream.
Energy saving
0.23 W/mK thermal conductivity minimises heat loss on hot-water lines and reduces chilled-water insulation requirements.
Lower install cost
Lightweight sections and fusion welding reduce labour versus cutting, threading and welding steel pipe — 30–50% lower CAPEX than alternatives.
Two product lines
SHK Pneumato for compressed air and SHK Aqua for hot/cold water — one material family, correctly specified by ITT for each application.
SHK product lines
Two triple-layer PPR-C product ranges — Pneumato for compressed air and Aqua for hot/cold water — with precision-moulded fittings (20 mm to 400 mm) and fusion accessories, specified as one integrated utility network by ITT.

SHK Pneumato
Flame-retardant triple-layer PPR-C engineered for compressed air. UL 94 rated outer layer with glass-fibre reinforcement and low-friction bore.
- Most energy-saving pipes for air applications
- Low friction bore — 1.5 ft/100 ft
- Compressed air to packaging & CNC utilities

SHK Aqua
Triple-layer PPR-C for hot/cold water, chilled water and clean fluid supply. UV-stabilised outer, reinforced core and anti-microbial inner layer.
- Anti-microbial inner layer for potable water
- Wide temperature range −8°C to 95°C
- WRAS approved, CFTRI tested material
Socket fusion welding
Leak-proof joints in three steps — cut, heat and weld. ITT-trained installers follow SHK fusion parameters for every joint.
