FS CURTIS compressed-air treatment equipment removes moisture, oil aerosols and particulates before air reaches your machines. ITT sizes dryers against actual compressor flow, inlet temperature and pressure, stages filtration to ISO 8573 targets, and integrates receivers and drains for a dependable air-quality package — from general workshop duty to instrument-grade supply.

Refrigeration air dryers — eCOOL technology

Cross-flow pre-cooler and evaporator with built-in stainless-steel demister moisture separator maximise heat transfer and protect downstream equipment. Non-cyclic hot-gas bypass maintains stable dew point across varying loads. Units ship pre-piped and wired with automatic electronic condensate drains.

  • Models CR 20 to CR 2500 — 20 to 2500 cfm nominal capacity
  • Rated 3°C pressure dew point; ISO 7183 flow capacities
  • PUF insulation, non-ferrous air passages, ozone-friendly refrigerants
  • Up to 16 bar g working pressure (12.5 bar g on largest models)
  • Ideal for general manufacturing, packaging, CNC and assembly lines

Desiccant compressed air dryers

Pressure-swing adsorption removes moisture to −40°C pressure dew point. Wet air passes a coalescing pre-filter, through a desiccant tower and after-filter. Regeneration uses depressurisation and a controlled purge of dry air to restore the offline tower.

  • DRC compact range: 10 to 375 scfm in space-saving packages
  • DR series: 400 to 1144 scfm for high-flow industrial duty
  • 4-minute cycle, 10% regeneration volume, −40°C outlet dew point
  • Pre-filter 0.3 µm coalescer; 16 bar g max working pressure
  • Suited to outdoor lines, instrumentation and low-humidity processes

Compressed air filters — FFA series

High-efficiency aluminium FFA filters with pleated elements, differential pressure gauges and automatic condensate drains deliver clean, technically oil-free compressed air across the distribution network.

  • Grade P: 3 µm particles — 0.03 bar g initial ΔP
  • Grade U: 1 µm + 0.1 mg/m³ oil — general protection
  • Grade H: 0.01 µm + 0.01 mg/m³ oil — coalescing duty
  • Grade C: 0.003 mg/m³ oil — activated carbon polish
  • FFA05 to FFA300 — G½ to G3 connections, 16 bar(g) standard

Air receivers, separators & drains

Proper storage and condensate management stabilise system pressure, reduce compressor cycling and protect air quality. ITT integrates correctly sized receivers with zero-loss or timed drains at low points across the network.

  • Air receivers sized to ISO 8537 and plant demand profiles
  • Moisture separators upstream of dryers and filters
  • Automatic electronic and pilot-operated condensate drains
  • Pressure-drop audits across filter and dryer stages
  • Maintenance planning for element changes and drain service

Frequently asked questions

For general workshop and machine-shop air where +3°C pressure dew point is acceptable, FS CURTIS refrigerated CR dryers offer lower energy use and simpler operation. Choose desiccant DRC or DR dryers when you need −40°C dew point for instrument air, outdoor piping, pharmaceuticals or low-humidity processes. ITT reviews your ISO 8573 target, ambient conditions and flow before recommending.

Refrigerated dryers use nominal capacity divided by correction factors C1 (inlet temperature), C2 (ambient), C3 (inlet pressure) and C4 (dew point). Desiccant dryers divide actual flow by temperature and pressure factors from the FS CURTIS catalogue. ITT performs this calculation using your compressor data sheet and site conditions.

A typical general-industry line uses Grade P pre-filtering, Grade H coalescing after the dryer, and Grade C activated carbon if oil vapour must be removed. ITT stages filters to match your end-use and minimises total pressure drop.

Yes — refrigerated CR dryers include adjustable electronic timer-controlled auto drain valves. FFA filters also offer automatic or manual drain options. Proper condensate management prevents re-entrainment of water and oil into the air stream.

ITT audits your existing compressor room — flow, pressure, aftercooler performance and piping layout — then specifies dryer, filter, receiver and drain packages that work with your current FS CURTIS or other compressor installation. Site visits and commissioning support are available across Faridabad and Delhi NCR.
